It is with a very heavy heart that I am selling my Vauxhall Carlton 12 valve Gsi3000.
1989 (G) - 164k miles
Fully restored in 2011. Extensive collection of photos of all work done and receipts all collated in binders.
Featured in Practical Classic Nov 2015, Corgi model (G455 STM) based in this car.
Photos show the standard of this car and how it has been cherished and looked after in my ownership. Would like it to go to a like-minded enthusiast.
It has won a few trophies in its’ time attending Class Car events.
Known problem areas with these cars were the rear wheel arches, door shuts and bottom of doors, but as the pros show these are all solid and spotless.
Issues that could do with being fixed are:
Small leak at bottom of radiator.
Slightly sagging headlining. (none of these problems affect the overall car).
Drives lovely, smooth power delivery, lovely sound of the Straight Six engine through the stainless steel exhaust system.
New Avon tyres fitted in 2022 (driven just 100 miles in that time!!)
MOT until July ’24.
