Been in our ownership for over 5 years, daily driven and has been near on flawlessly reliable. Only a recent crank sensor and front springs have been replaced. Otherwise, it's been 100% routine maintenance.
It's been home serviced with yearly oil changes using the correct synthetic oil specified by MB. Replacement parts have been o. e specification, too. Crank sensor is a Bosch and SLK Mercedes springs (car is essentially a r170 slk under the American badge)
It's a cliche to say, but this engine is bulletproof. The 3. 2 litre Mercedes built v6 was found in many of the c and E class cars and regularly reach in excess of double the miles on this one so that's plenty of open-top motoring and time to enjoy the awesome exhaust tone.
Truthfully, we love this car and don't want to sell it, but with a 5 year old and a 3 year old, it is just nowhere near practical, anymore.
the car will come with 12 months MOT.
We bought it as a replacement for a Megane CC which was a rolling dictionary for French car problems. This has been the polar opposite, reliable, fun to drive, good looking and great sounding.
any parts we have had to buy have been fairly priced, too.
It is worth noting this car was built in Europe, by Karmann on a Mercedes Chassis. It is a thoroughly engineered vehicle, with very durable components and utterly ideal for a nice drive, be it enthusiastic or leisurely.
