1974 Ford Escort MK1 Timewarp

Here is my Astonishing Unrestored 1974 Ford Escort 1300 L Estate with a genuine
17, 000 miles from new !

Timewarp is a word too often used but in this instance a word that can only truly be used to describe this car.

A very big statement but I very much doubt there is another Mk1 Ford Escort Estate in this original unrestored condition anywhere never been messed with or taken apart . All panels , body markings, original spotwelds etc still as they were when new .
The body and interior can only be described
“as the day it left the factory” its condition is staggering with no other way to describe it.


Sold new on 30th March 1974 from
Austin - Rover - Ford - Dealer
Abbey Garages of Pershore Worcestershire to a Mr Snow for his retirement he used the car sparingly never in the wet and always garaged always keeping a captains log of the car’s journey / miles and fuel used he gave up driving in 1987 but couldn’t bare to part with his car so it remained in his garage until his passing in 1996 .
Upon her father’s death Mr Snows daughter just couldn’t bring herself to part with her father’s pride and joy so kept the car in storage right up until 2014 when her advancing age forced her into regrettably moving her father’s car on .
Shortly after this I became the cars current custodian.

To date the car has travelled a mere 500 miles since being parked up in 1987.
The last tax disc from 1987 is still displayed on the windscreen.

Massive history file accompanies the car with original bill of sale, order form, book packs, service book , captions log of journeys traveled , Genuine Ford keys x 2 ,
original dealer tax disc holder, receipts , bills , invoices etc etc

Original unrestored 12” steel wheels and original Michelin ZX tyres are still there for show purposes with a separate set of wheels with modern tyres for driving/ safety purposes Unused original spare wheel still resides in its space accompanied with its unused Jack and brace .

Genuine Ford NOS exhaust recently fitted.

I have only shown this car twice in all my years or ownership where it won 1st in both instances a testament to the originality & condition of the car .
