This incredibly rare and exquisite right-hand drive Mercedes-Benz 280 SL Pagoda is an original UK supplied vehicle and has only had 3 owners in total from new.
The car was purchased new from Sundridge Park Motors Ltd in Bromley, Kent on the 5th of June 1969 by Mrs C who owned the car for 39 years before selling the car on to its second custodian in June of 2008
After 2 years of ownership the 2nd owner a huge BRABUS client then shipped the 280 SL to the world famous BRABUS Classic GmbH in Bottrop, Germany on the 29th June 2010 where the team headed by Dirk Moeller embarked on a `full nut and bolt` restoration to Mercedes-Benz exacting standards. Everything on the vehicle was either restored or replaced using original Mercedes parts. 2, 000 hours of fine BRABUS craftmanship over a 2 year period was carried out resulting in a unique restoration project
A completely new leather interior was made in original Mercedes-Benz material along with new carpets in Red and a Crème Steering wheel and matching Crème gear knob. New 3 point seat belts were also fitted at this time and a full engine and gearbox restoration.
The car stayed in his ownership until 2016 when the 3rd and final owner to date took posession.
This very rare and exquisite Pagoda is one of very few BRABUS Classic restored vehicles to come to market and believed to be the only right hand drive UK car.
Accompanying the car is its original service book, owners manual and document wallet and all receipts, invoices and photos from the restoration carried out by BRABUS Classic. The original hard top, hard top stand, spare wheel and original tool roll are all present and correct.
It also has its very own book produced by BRABUS for this exquisite example.
