This car originated in California and was returned to the UK in approximately 2000.
In 2005 the very highly regarded and MGA specialist Bob West took on the restoration. The car was stripped to the bare chasis and rebuilt from there, no expense spared. This included new wiring loom, brake systems, new steering rack etc to convert to right hand drive, and all body panels were retained.
Similarly, the engine was totally reworked under Bob West's direction which included piston rebore and regrinding of the crank bearings etc. A 5 speed gear box was incorporated in the rebuild.
I have been the only owner of the car since taking delivery from Bob West and the car has been lovingly looked after and maintained ever since. The car has been used mainly for MG car club meetings in Ireland and very little else, hence a very low mileage since restoration.
