1970 Velocette Thruxton

1970; Thruxton Registrar Certificate; detailed ownership records; one of 33 machines that were completed by Velocette Dealers during and after the Hall Green Velocette Factory shut down, this machine was built in 1970 by Tony Headings of Risboro Motorcycles (RF Seymour of Thame supplied the parts) as a Short Circuit 500cc Racer; purchased in 1989 directly from Seymour (who had previously been looking after the bike) as a damaged Racer by its subsequent long term owner who is very well known and respected in Velocette circles remaining in long term storage until 2021 when it was completely restored by that same owner using trusted specialists and a genuine Velocette 'New Old Stock' crankcase sourced from Stevens (the original was damaged) in the 1980's now stamped with the original engines number, Borrani Rims; new self generating BTH Magneto; Thurston Belt Primary Drive & Mikuni Carburettor; Easy on Centre Stand; it is believed that the original owner was David Enthoven (well known Music Entrepeneur whose clients included Robbie Williams, Marc Bolan, Emerson Lake & Palmer, Roxy Music etc); comes with a complete nose fairing as pictured and a GP Carb with manifold etc can be available as required; this machine has been fettled an used for around 500 miles by the last owner who we sold it to around a year ago; lovely quiet engine; starts really easily with the BTH Magneto and Mikuni carb; runs and rides very well; fairing mounting bracket is also with it but not shown in the photos; previously supplied by ourselves;TRADE. p/ x welcome.
