Ok I’m selling this for a friend This is a nice easy project for some one with some knowledge in older cars or you can drive as it is with a little work . It’s a the top of the range 1956 Chrysler New Yorker with the very iconic and sort after 354 cubic inch engine used in many early drag cars and hot rods. The car has been sat for 4 years in dry storage and is a driving vehicle, engine purrs like a kitten when fired up and the push button box selects all gears smoothly. Bodywork wise the vehicle is very solid there is a section on lower n/ s quarter and a small patch on rear of the sills other than that this is solid as a rock and never been welded before which makes it a very good stating point having not been messed around with. You could get away with just painting the lower half to tidy it up . The top half is all original paint with age related chips and marks. Interior is the original and seen better days but that said it’s all intact and throw would work for now. Prior to the car being laid up again it had all new white wall tyres, complete new exhaust , brakes plugs , points, leads and various other bits. It was imported from Kanas at auction from a deceased estate which was previously a Chrysler dealership from 1930s . The car was advertised at the auction as having been dry stored in one of the out buildings for many years that had only covered 17k . There is no paperwork other than the original auction brochure at the time of purchase to back that up and door pillar sticker showing mileage corresponding to the Speedo . however by the sound of the engine and smoothness of the gear change it is very possibly correct and it is correctly registered here now in the UK. The current owner has only recommissioned it on arrival and driven It to local events , due to personal reasons and lack of storage the vehicle now needs a new home and somebody to give this old surviver a new lease of life. It will need to be trailered away after being laid up for so long and is sold as a project vehicle needing recommissioning. It can been seen running and can be driven around the field here if it ever stops raining. It is currently on ebay and listed with a low starting price with no reserve on it so happy bidding.
