Fantastic fast road MGB. Bought by me several years ago from previous owner who had the car for 40 years. I then spent more than £15k fettling and making it how I wanted. When I bought it, car was sound with an older rebuild and a 1950 Oselli engine (nitrided crank, Lotus Cortina Pistons etc) and spax suspension etc and I sent car to a classic car specialist to:
- completely strip underside, check for corrosions and comprehensively dinitrol
- add new stage 2 cylinder head
- add 45 dcoe weber
- new fuel pump
- new brake lines
- new slave / master cylinders
- rebuild pedal box
- rebuild heater
- new discs/ pads
- new Toto Proxes
- rebuild overdrive unit
- heavy duty clutch
- 123 distributor / electronic ignition
- set up on rolling road
- much more but can't remember
Left paint as original as I like patina - it isn't perfect as shows a few signs of age but it is most comprehensively rust proofed B I know and brilliantly useable. Runs perfectly and reliably. Only selling as I have too many cars and really not in a hurry. Used regularly when weather is good!
