This Alpine MK1 in Coronation Red underwent a full restoration in 2002 since when it has been in my ownership having purchased it from another club member (Sunbeam Talbot Alpine Register). I am the 4th club member to own this Alpine. It has had the engine replaced with a re-built MK3 engine and has had the gearbox replaced with an overdrive unit. It has benefitted from a few discreet upgrades including conversion to positive earth with an alternator replacing the dynamo, a facet solid state fuel pump, a new Weber carburettor with K&N air filter, LED brake light and dashboard lights and halogen headlights. It was completely professionally re-carpeted including the entire boot area in 2021. It has a good quality black hood and tonneau cover and will come with a taylored car cover. It would however benefit from a couple of new tyres if I were to keep it.
This Alpine is ready to be enjoyed and is immediately available.
We have enjoyed several continental trips with this Alpine not least to Monte Carlo in 2005 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of a Sunbeam winning the 1955 Monte Carlo Rally and a trip to Cortina in Italy in 2007 taking in the infamous Stelvio Pass.
This car is ready to do it all again!
