1989 BMW 3 Series E30 (1984-1991) 316i

For sale here is my very original 1989 bmw 316i (1600cc) coupe in brilliant red.

I bought the car in January 2023 and drove it almost every weekend and daily drove it for a few months over the summer. It is now parked under a cover in the garage ready for sale. Im only selling the car because i need the money for a different long term project.

The car starts first time every time, runs great, drives like a dream and never let me down. It's had a new viscous fan coupling recently which is a common failure point. I have cleaned out the throttle body, tuned the idle and air, fuel mixture as well as fitting a new interior blower motor. I have also l cleaned the engine bay, painted the cam cover and fitted a new engine bay foam kit along with doing general maintanance so it is very tidy under the bonnet. It also has various history as well as its original owners folder, spare wheel, tool kits and first aid kit.

The car passed its last mot with no advisories in mid August and has been in storage since so should have no trouble flying through its next one at the end of summer.

The car stops great too as i recently fitted new discs and pads in the front, shoes and adjusters in the rear, as well as a brake fluid change and bleed. I also cleaned and repainted the calipers and drums black.

The wheels have been referbished and powder coated as well as 4 brand new yokahama tyres fitted. I recently had the car fully detailed so the paint work shines nice and bright but it still has some expected age related marks when you get close. There are a few rust areas around and the underside has some surface rust but nothing perticularly unusual for a 35 year old BMW thats been driven.

The Interior is also very tidy other than some fraying on the drivers seat base. I have replaced the front speaker as the old ones were only working intermitantly. The only un original part fitted to the car is the radio. It had a high quality JVC bluetooth radio when i bought the car which i can include in the puchase however it is not currently fitted as i replaced it with a cheap amazon one to connect to my samsung phone, which the JVC does not.

Overall its a lovely classic and would make a great daily or project base. its very presentable, brilliant fun to drive, and gets alot of attention on the road, in public and at shows.
