A unique ‘garage find’ opportunity, this was sold from the first owner to the second when 11 months old with 5, 000 recorded miles, and then used sparingly until it was last taxed early in 1967, and then laid up in a private garage where it remained until the owner passed away. It was put to auction by the estate in 2015 and purchased by the current owner who has stored it since. Except from turning over the engine, the car remains undisturbed, recording 7, 000 miles. Astoundingly original apart from an abundance of unusual period accessories added by either the first owner or the second, this must be the ultimate 60’s ‘bubble car’ time-capsule complete with original local maps, first issue buff logbook (along with present V5C) and a handwritten maintenance diary. It even has the reverse gear block still in place so it could be driven on a motorcycle licence- a peculiar legislative loophole that existed in the 1960’s. An absolute must for a microcar collector to either preserve it as-is, or to correctly restore cosmetically to recreate the ultimate showroom example.
