Charterhouse Auctioneers are pleased to offer this item in our upcoming Classic Motorbikes auction on Thursday the 6th of June 2024
Online and at Haynes International Motor Museum
Being sold without reserve
Registration number 326 BNX
Owned since 2005 after collecting it from Birmingham
The Hercules Corvette was made by the Birmingham Cycle Company
It was only produced between 1960 and 1961 and very few survived
It comes with a tax disc from 1965, the owner is not sure it was on the road since then
The bike appears to be pretty much in unrestored original condition, however the owner has fitted a better condition rear mudguard
When the owner bought the bike it was running well with the lights, horn and kill button all working
At the time of purchasing in 2005 it appeared only 10 were known to survive
The Hercules Corvette is a very attractive rare machine which unfortunately due to its high price never took off
The owner has not had the time to restore it
Over the years the owner have travelled far and wide sourcing extra parts.
The Hercules Corvette had a lavalette engine and was based on an autovap machine
Extremely rare
*** Please note: Lot 17 contains spares believed to be for an Auto Vap or a Hercules Corvette, which may be of interest***
