SUMMARY
Bought new from Speeds of Blackpool, by a Leicester events management company, this rare and stunning CLK Convertible stayed with the same owners for sixteen years, where it passed from the company's ownership, to the Company owner's personal name and then to his wife's name. In reality it was always the gentleman's wife car, but ownership was changed to whatever was more tax efficient at the time. Unfortunately in 2017, after 16 years of ownership the lady was forced to give up the car due to failing health and it gifted to their gardener, who despite his previous protestation that he'd keep it forever, sold it a month later to one of my contacts, who is by his own admission is a collector/ serial car owner, who has an excellent eye for a special car, and this one is one of his finest finds, and which originally found it's way to me back in September 2020 at 32k miles, right in the middle of the pandemic. I later sold it 2021 to a local gentleman and a Mercedes Club member. He kept the car until May this year, when he made the tough decision to sell it, due to not using it through of health issues. During his tenure the car was serviced on the dot, and as he was local, many jobs were carried out by myself.
This really is a very special car, and is in truly amazing condition, not just on top but underneath as well (see photos) confirming the story that this vehicle has been always garaged, and always used sparingly. This is also one of the highest specification W208's I've encountered with every switch position taken; the option ticked when ordering this car must have amounted to many thousands of pounds, however its the addition of the AMG options that set this car apart from the rest. Moreover, unlike most, these haven't been "nailed on" by a dealership or a previous owner, but by Mercedes themselves at the factory (at great cost.)
I could write page upon page about this car, but I've been asked if it looks as good in real life, as it does in the photos. The answer is a resounding Yes!, in fact it actually looks better, and really does have that "wow" factor, which few modern cars seem able to achieve. The best bit it's only covered 37K miles, been meticulously maintained, and recently had a new hood fitted. I think this is probably one of the best W208 CLK's available, I certainly don't know many as good.
THE MTSV DIFFERENCE
Unlike some, I don't just simply go out, buy any old car, give it a good clean, then advertise it for more than the purchase price, disregarding any issues the car may have in the hope the new buyer won't notice…I just couldn't do that. The cars I source are carefully selected and I work very hard so that when my cars leave me, I have the satisfaction of knowing they are as good as they possibly can be within the constraints I have. As such I have many repeat customers and new customers that have been recommended via word of mouth…the ultimate accolade for anyone in business.
