This 1989 Mercedes 230TE really must be one of the best available. It has covered only 59, 000 documented miles and the service history folder shows that this car has always been correctly maintained.
I sold this car three years ago and it’s great to take it back into stock. The W124 was built to last and this car is perfect for a collector looking for the best or someone that wants a very practical classic that continues to appreciate in value.
The exterior paintwork is exceptionally good and the “Blue Black Metallic” DB199 has a deep reflection all round. All trim and glass is original and unmarked. The 15 hole alloy wheels are in excellent condition and are fitted with Goodyear Efficient Grip tyres.
The beige interior upholstery and carpets are unmarked and the drivers seat has no wear on the side bolsters. The electric windows, sunroof and all other accessories work exactly as they should.
A major mechanical service was completed in January 2024 and the lever arch folder of invoices and test results that accompanies the car, shows that it has always been well cared for.
The 124 Series Mercedes is one of the all time great practical classics and this is one of the best.
