1936 Austin Seven ‘Ulster’ Replica
Throughout the years, the Austin Seven ‘EA’ Sports - better known as the Ulster - has always been revered, so numerous replicas, or evocations, have been created.
The example offered here used a 1936 A7 Ruby as the donor, so has the longer wheelbase. Fitted with a Rod Yates body - number 219.
this car has been very well built and presents in fine order. Fortunately, the original registration number has been retained, adding a touch more authenticity.
The engine has been rebuilt and improved by Oxfordshire Sevens, with new pistons, new conrods, valve seats recut, the block honed and skimmed and the crank and flywheel balanced. A sports manifold is fitted with an SU carburettor. The electrics have been converted to 12V.
Seats and tonneau cover are also new.
Just around 120 miles have been covered so the engine is still running in.
