1929 Riley Nine Mk1V Four-seat Tourer - from the estate of Allen Clear
One of the most popular variants of the Riley Nine has always been the MklV four seat tourer.
Certainly, for anyone seeking a light and sporting Vintage tourer, this model usually ticks all the boxes.
This 1929 example comes to us from the estate of the well-known and highly respected restorer and Vintage Car racer Allen Clear.
A well sorted car ready for eventing or touring, the fabric body is sound and very presentable, although the wings and bonnet would benefit from a little tidying and a fresh coat of paint. The interior trim is in black leather and in good order. The side screens have been renewed fairly recently and the hood is serviceable. A tonneau cover is also supplied.
Mechanically, this Riley feels very capable with the engine showing good oil pressure and pulling very strongly.
