The lovely story of this model:
The Traction Avant was introduced by Citroën in 1934 under the direction of André Citroën and with engineer André Lefebvre in its design. It was produced from 1934 to 1957.
It is famous for being one of the first mass-produced cars to feature innovative technologies for the era, such as front-wheel drive, monocoque bodied construction, and independent suspension on all four wheels. These innovations make it a technically advanced car for the time, delivering exceptional road handling.
The Traction Avant 15 SIX has a rare feature for cars of its era: the driven wheels are those of the front axle. This was invented in 1926 by Nugue, Fenaille and Grégoire, but it was Grégoire who developed the very first car, earning him the nickname "the father of front-wheel drive"! It is this feature that led to the name "Traction" and then "Traction Avant".

Indeed! Its monocoque structure, invented and patented by Vincenzo Lancia (a renowned driver for the Italian Fiat house and creator of Lancia) in 1918.
