SUMMARY
I've been eyeing up this ML350 for a year or two now, as it belonged to on of my mechanic's other customers, a gentleman who maintained it regardless of cost. I also had the massive advantage of getting to look at it in great detail over that time, and I was always impressed by its in amazing condition, the underside is incredibly clean.
I'd expressed my interest in this car several times, over that period, however in August this year, the owner got the chance of a Mobility car, so decided to go for that. To be honest it was a "no brainer" for him in financial terms, but he has told me since he really does miss this car, and I can clearly see why; its one of the most comfortable cars I've ever driven, think of it like an express armchair. It's surprisingly economical too, as well as being in a cheaper road tax bracket and on top of all that, it's also ULEZ and CAZ compliant; pretty impressive for a vehicle of this size and capabilities; this car is no slouch, believe me.
The W166 is a step forward over the older W164 M-Class, its so much more refined and makes this car an ideal mile muncher for that reason. Mercedes really did up their game in the late 2010's, and the W166 M-Class benefits from that step up in quality.
THE MTSV DIFFERENCE
Unlike some, I don’t just simply go out, buy any old car, give it a good clean, then advertise it for more than the purchase price, disregarding any issues the car may have in the hope the new buyer won’t notice…I just couldn’t do that.
