Description
Citroën 5HP or Trèfle type C3, 1923 - restored and rebuilt completely in the spirit of the pre-war race cars and a Belle Époque edge, in the vein of Amilcar, Austin Seven, MG, Aston, Bugatti.
I am selling it reluctantly, due to recurring back problems — sport bikes aren’t my age anymore.
It is very reliable, starts perfectly, serviced and maintained by a workshop specialised in classic cars.
Last improvements: replacement of the magneto by a ballast-free distributor and coil. 12-volt system. Brakes paired and pedal arrangement updated to current spec. Front wheel hubs replaced. New transmission flex (Flector). Carburettor replaced by a new SOLEX 26 MHD butterfly carburettor, bought in Austria from the former importer. (€500)
It has an incredible sound while remaining within reasonable limits.
