Produced in numerous variants over its production run between 2004 and 2014, the Lamborghini Gallardo offered similar looks and performance to its V12 stablemates with sharper handling thanks to its shorter wheelbase and lesser weight. Following a successful first series, the company announced a major update to the car in the form of the LP 560-4 in 2008. Nearly every element of the vehicle was adjusted to enhance its driving dynamics, and its styling was updated accordingly.
Shortly thereafter, in 2010, the Superleggera track-tuned model was released. Producing 562hp and featuring special carbon fiber aerodynamics and extensive weight reduction, the Superleggera offered a more hardcore take on the standard Gallardo's already immense performance. A year later, a convertible version of that car was introduced: the Performante. With similar acceleration and handling to the Superleggera but with a power-folding soft top, the Performante perfectly combined top-down exhilaration with world-class handling.
