Just in time for Spring, we're delighted to present this glorious 2016 Triumph Thruxton R, a bike that blends 60's café soul with sportsbike-humbling abilities and exquisite attention to detail. Hinckley doesn't get much wrong these days, but the Thruxton R is right up there with their greatest hits.
Smooth, fast, fun, and occasionally a bit naughty, the Thruxton R is an immensely satisfying motorcycle. Thanks to a rather brilliant standard specification, which includes Shows 43mm BPFs, Brembo monoblocs, and twin Ohlins rear shocks, it stops, goes and handles like a well-sorted modern sportsbike.
And that engine. The 1200 (HP) burbles and tremors with feel-good vibes at tickover, and on the move it rewards with great slugs of torque and noise.
It's a peach, and we're big fans.
This particular bike is genuinely just lovely. In immaculate condition and showing only 5593 miles from new, it is on the button in every respect.
Delivered to Jack Lilley Triumph of Ashford in September 2016 and cared for by 3 former owners, it has been diligently maintained, benefitting from regular main dealer servicing. Our own prep includes all fluids and filters, alongside a full caliper strip down & service, wheel alignment and chain adjustment.
Cosmetically, the Silver Ice paintwork is unmarked, and likewise all of the exposed metal around the bike. The lace-up wheels present beautifully, and are shod in nearly new Michelin Road 5s. A couple of tasteful extras finish this bike off perfectly, including a genuine Triumph fly screen, Cone Engineering exhausts (which sound delicious), and a British Customs tail tidy.
A stunning example of the reference modern café racer, sensibly priced.
