We have a rather lovely Chimaera 400 PAS undergoing prep.
About to have a spingly spangly new set of Bilstein shocks and Eibach springs fitted, plus new tyres, rear main oil seal changed, and lots of other bits and bats to bring the car to the Shmoo Automotive standard.
It’s a car that Shmoo originally bought in late 2018, and was then sold in Spring 2019. Just the 3 owners, the gent we sold it to 6 years ago, who’s covered a mere 2500 miles since then. The owner we bought it from first time around owned the car from 2002 and 16, 000 miles.
It's lived in a garage all its life, which is why the interior and carpet are in such lovely condition. The wheels are factory original and virtually unmarked.
Finished in Crimson Starmist, the car was fully repainted in 2019, and as you can see, still looks gorgeous.

The last time we had the car back in 2019, we did a full Powers Performance camshaft replacement kit, including vernier, chain and followers, plus valley gasket, end seals and rocker cover gaskets etc, plus a full, back-to-chassis outrigger replacement.
The car had a full repaint at our body shop, 6 years along it still looks sharp, they did an excellent job as always.
So, what is already a super example will be even better once everything is done. Certainly, if you want a Chimaera that looks fresh and is set up for many happy miles ahead, this is a car to consider. It won’t be the cheapest car on the web, but it’s not going to be the average Chimaera.
