Here we have for sale our stunning Honda VTR1000 SP-1. It is in beautiful condition and has covered 19059 miles from new. Our example comes complete with a Scorpion exhaust fitted, two keys and a host of old MOT certificates, and receipts. Prior to sale the bike will receive a further service and full 12 months MOT.
This model was Hondas answer to Ducati's V-twin domination of the World Superbike Championship, simple: build a V-twin to beat a V-twin. Hondas racing arm HRC did exactly that and the resulting bike was the RC51, more commonly known in Europe as SP1. There's no getting away from it, the VTR1000 oozes quality. Its small, compact and perfectly formed with the usual Honda build quality. The SP-Y is more than capable of delivering a thrilling ride, pegs are high and set back and the seat is shaped for instant knee-down cornering. While the power output is marginal compared to some big in-line four-cylinder bikes, there's plenty of torque and horsepower to be applied usefully thanks the waif-like chassis dimensions.
