FERRARI 550 MARANELLO V12 485CV 2000 This Ferrari 550M was delivered new by official dealer Charles Pozzi in Lyon to its first owner, a resident of the Côte D'Azur, on 3 October 2000. Ordered with particular characteristics, due to the fact that the first owner was an Englishman living in France, namely the speedometer in both km/ h and mph, it features a magnificent ‘Grigio Titanio’ colour combination with Cartier interior, which make this 550 a unique car in terms of its history and characteristics. It is accompanied by all the manuals, books and catalogues, with the respective maintenance history since it left the factory. It was imported into Portugal in 2002. The 550 Maranello model was presented in 1996 as the first front-engined V12 Ferrari in 23 years, and the dynamic launch was made by Michael Schumacher on the Nurburgring track. The 5. 5-litre DOHC 65° atmospheric engine produces 485 hp at 7000 rpm and 568 Nm at 5000 rpm. The package is completed by a six-speed manual gearbox and a mechanical self-locking differential. The 550M was the last V12 available only with manual transmission, while its Tipo F133 engine twice won the Engine of the Year award in the over 4-litre category. Thanks to its aerodynamic body, designed by Pininfarina, with a coefficient of air resistance of just 0. 33 Cx, the 550 Maranello reached a top speed of 320 km/ h. For this and other reasons, the model held the world record for average speed on the TRC track in the USA in 1998, with a record of 306km/ h for a distance of 100 miles or 160km. Every line and curve has been drawn with precision to convey dynamism and luxury, reflecting the Italian design philosophy. A timeless model, as you would expect from Pininfarina, and one that attracts more and more collectors of the brand. Inside, high-quality materials and luxury finishes create an exclusive atmosphere. Also on the list of optional extras are red-painted brake callipers and the much-loved Daytona-style seats. The 550 is a comfortable car for long distances and comes with options such as electric seats, windows and mirrors, automatic air conditioning and Becker radio. The SPORT button makes ASR less intrusive and adjusts the dampers for greater driving sensations. Total LHD production in Europe totalled 2, 150 units.
