This cherished, low-mileage 911 that belies its years. It looks fabulous, drives like a dream and has an exceptional provenance. This 993 stands out for all the right reasons.
The third and most recent owner has cared for it over the last 28 years, using it sparingly - averaging fewer than 1, 000 miles per year - and entrusting it almost exclusively to one respected Oxfordshire-based Porsche specialist.
It comes with a thick folder of supporting history: invoices, receipts, and 24 MOT certificates, all neatly organised in a deep blue Motor Folios binder. The original service book is full (a second is now in use), with 15 stamps to date. The most recent entry included new spark plugs, brake fluid, and a gearbox oil change, part of an £8, 500 invoice covering a comprehensive round of maintenance and preservation. This is a car that’s never wanted for anything; it’s been looked after with a ‘whatever-needs-doing-gets-done' approach.
Delivered new by Lancaster Bow, official Porsche dealers for East London, in October 1994, this 1995-model example is finished in Midnight blue metallic with a matching dark blue convertible roof and tonneau, sitting on 17-inch Cup 2-style alloy wheels.
Inside, it’s a tasteful contrast of Marble grey seats, door cards and carpets, complemented by a dark blue dash, knee roll and door tops. Features include electrically adjustable front seats, air conditioning, and an upgraded Porsche Classic Communication System, a retro-look unit with modern tech including navigation and Bluetooth.
This is not a car that needs redoing or reinventing. It’s a well-preserved, low-mileage, original example - and if cared for in the manner it’s become accustomed to, it will remain a standout example to enjoy now and for many years to come.
