As the Prancing Horse’s first production plug-in hybrid spider, the SF90 Spider blends the latest iteration of Ferrari’s signature Retractable Hard Top architecture with the very pinnacle of Ferrari technology.
This beautifully tailored Atelier commissioned car benefits from the full standard + extended Assetto Corsa packs which brings weight saving track-focused enhancements through the addition of Carbon Door panels, rear diffuser and front spoiler. A lightweight titanium exhaust, carbon rear wing, carbon fibre racing seats. Multimatic dampers derived from Ferrari’s GT racing program plus special lightweight wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires.
1, 000 metric horsepower (that’s 986 bhp) and an open top certainly provides for a full sensory driving experience. With three electric motors (two at the front giving you infinite real-time torque or brake vectoring, one supplementing torque at the rear) augmenting the 769bhp twin-turbocharged 4. 0-litre V8 the SF90 Spider will give you 0-60 in 2. 5sec and on to 211 mph.
The engine’s power is balanced by the SF90’s 4-wheel drive system and massive amounts of downforce generated at the front by complex and optimised system of vortex generators and at the rear by a patented, suspended two piece wing with a mobile “shut-off Gurney” section
With its large rear buttresses, the Spider is perhaps even better looking than the coupe and like all convertible Ferraris of the modern era, the Spider features an aluminium retractable hard-top, which opens and closes in just 14 seconds.
Want to be kind to your neighbours? Being a proper plug-in hybrid the SF90 Spider will give you 16 miles of near silent all-electric running on a full charge of the 7. 9kWh battery at speeds of up to 84mph.
