Used mainly in fine weather, our Boxster type 986 has covered only 117, 000 km in 28 years, i. e. just over 4, 000 km per year. The paintwork, most of which is original, is also in very good condition. Very rare on this model, our Boxster comes with a Speedster soft top cover with double bosses which is easy to fit and remove (Porsche accessory worth €1, 700). The blue soft top is new, with a glass window instead of the plastic one which is much more fragile. Note that the soft top cables have been changed by Porsche. The interior is brick red (looks much redder in the photo), with no signs of wear. Mechanically, there is nothing to be expected. The 204bhp 2. 5 6-cylinder engine is reliable and a pleasure to drive.
