Lots of useful service history.
This car was my late Father in Laws, he owned for about 25 years but for the last five years it was garaged due to ill health.
It has had a new MOT, new battery. I am running around in it and were it a manual I would keep it.
The interior is grey cloth and virtually unmarked save fore the common worn hole in the drivers seat bolster.... leave it, cover it, use a second hand seat or get a trimmer to repair using a panel off an old passenger seat, that is up to the next owner. Still has a working rear load cover and parcel guard/ mesh.
Likewise the body is far better than many, Nautical Blue over a lighter shade and has very few marks and I think no dents of note. However it could be improved or used as is. Both front wings could be improved or replaced (Bolt on) and the rear arches are a bit crusty, that said the inner rear arches seem good and one outer has only one scabby area, the other is worse. They could be tidied with the common coverall chrome arch trims but I would do it right... the car is good enough for it. The only damgse is a repairable crack and hole to the plastic rear bumper moulding and boot trim.
It drives tight and like a good W124 Mercedes should. The auto box smooth, kick down works and Standard and Economy work function correctly. I think all the electric toys work, windows, sunroof, electric mirrors, original radio with electric aerial etc.
Front tyres are barely worn, rear are worn on inside edges..... I think the rear toe/ tracking can be adjusted on these which may be the reason, the steering wheel is slightly off centre too. No warning lights showing, my MOT man said its a goodie underneath and had little to report on the advises.
Ready to go and enjoy, use as it or improve. These W124 estates are getting rather sought after and popular.
Priced at what I saw one sell for recently at same age, miles and condition with no MOT.
