We are offering a very special Rickman Metisse Jawa engined motorcycle. This was the property of scrambler ace Terry Challinor and regarded as his number 2 machine (bearing his trademark number of 1/ 11 or 111)
To his highly trick Triumph Metisse and is no stranger to being a front runner/ winner in many pre 65 events as well as Red Marley, you will find plenty of photos of Terry in action on this machine on the internet.
It is thought that this bike was built specially for Terry in 1999 using an MRD frame and high quality period correct components and it runs on Methanol.
Condition; the bike has been in storage for approximately 10 years and therefore will require recommissioning prior to any use, the engine turns over with good compression and all gears select. We have not attempted to start it but see no reason why it should not. Please study the photos to get a clear idea of the true condition, baring for the odd few battle scars on the exhaust silencer and plastics it looks very good, the plating on the frame is still very nice and in general nuts/ bolts and alloy parts all look clean and undamaged, a few hours cleaning and polishing would bring it into the next level.
