History Under the visionary leadership of Alejandro De Tomaso, Maserati entered a bold era of engineering innovation and refined performance. The Biturbo series, led by the legendary Giulio Alfieri, introduced the world's first production biturbo engine, an all-alloy, 90-degree V6 2. 0L derived from Formula One principles. By 1989, the Biturbo platform had reached its most sophisticated form with the launch of the 2. 24v, a rare and powerful evolution equipped with four camshafts, 24 valves, Weber-Marelli electronic fuel injection and low-friction cylinder seals. The result was an impressive 241 hp and 296 Nm of torque from a sub-2. 0L engine, wrapped in a sleek and aggressively restyled bodywork with contributions from design legends Pierangelo Andreani and Marcello Gandini. Built to impress in terms of both performance and presence, the 2. 24v featured high-end aerodynamic modifications such as sculpted bumpers with integrated fog lamps, functional ducts for the intercooler, enlarged side skirts, rear spoiler and space for quadruple exhausts, all complemented by a two-tone paint job and distinctive 15-inch disc wheels. With only 1, 147 examples produced between 1989 and 1991, it remains a much sought-after piece of Maserati history.
Our car This particular car was finished in the classic Nero su Grigio colour, with a beautifully preserved interior finished in Alcantara and grey leather, and was equipped with the optional Active Damping Control system. With only 38, 500 kilometres from new, it is now in exceptional condition, both mechanically and aesthetically. After a period of careful storage, the car underwent a complete overhaul by Maserati specialists, which included a complete overhaul of the engine using original components.
