The DKW Munga was an off-road vehicle developed by Auto Union in Germany, manufactured between 1956 and 1968. The name "Munga" is a German acronym for "Mehrzweck UNiversal Geländewagen mit Allradantrieb," meaning "universal all-purpose off-road vehicle with four-wheel drive." It was used by the German Army (Bundeswehr), German police, and armed forces of other NATO countries, in addition to being successful in civilian applications such as agriculture and operations on poor roads.
