THE MERCEDES-MAYBACH S680 VIRGIL ABLOH EDITION
The Mercedes-Maybach S680 Virgil Abloh Edition is one of the most striking collaborations between the worlds of haute couture and automotive luxury. This exclusive sedan represents a meeting point between the creative vision of Virgil Abloh, the late artistic director of Louis Vuitton and founder of Off-White, and the world-renowned engineering of Mercedes-Benz's Maybach division.
The project was conceived as a celebration of design, individuality, and exclusivity. First unveiled as a concept in late 2021 and followed by a limited production run from 2023 through 2025, only 150 units were built for the global market. This is one of the rarest and most collectible Maybachs ever produced, with only 39 of the 150 believed to have landed in the US.
Virgil Abloh collaborated with Gorden Wagener, Mercedes-Benz's Chief Design Officer, to create a vehicle that reflects both brands' shared values of craftsmanship, innovation, and luxury. As Abloh tragically passed away in 2021, this project stands as one of his final creative statementsa functional piece of art on wheels.
Every example of this special edition is finished in two-tone Obsidian Black and Sand, directly inspired by the original Project Maybach concept. Chrome is kept to a minimum and bespoke Maybach mono-block forged wheels continue the color scheme below the beltline.
Inside, the cabin is spacious and luxuriant with four well-appointed seats and enough embellishments to satisfy the most demanding of passengers. The interior echoes the color scheme of the exterior with seats, dashboard, and door panels wrapped in beige and black Nappa leather, contrasted with matte black trim and special Maybach embroidery. Subtle branding includes "Virgil Abloh" badging on the Piano Black center console, rear cushions, headrests and door sills. An exclusive user-interface within the MBUX infotainment system further differentiates this model, along with the futuristic blue interior lighting a key element of Virgil Abloh's design specification.
This fully-fledged land yacht is propelled by a 6. 0-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine, delivering an immense 621 horsepower with 738 lb-ft of torque. Mated to a smooth-shifting 9-speed automatic transmission and the 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system, this Maybach offers seamless power delivery and exhilarating performance. AIRMATIC air suspension with adaptive damping provides a cloud-like ride, while active suspension technology ensures superb composure under acceleration and cornering.
