Produced under Hawker Siddeley to aircraft standards of precision, these graceful luxury saloons are a fantastic purchase, but finding a good one is the challenge as they are all but extinct. Available new with a choice of driving options, this is the most useable and sought after version in automatic with exceptionally rare power steering. This has a lovely history with much early paperwork and there are even several photographs of the car taken in the 1950’s. It has 52, 000 recorded miles. The bodywork is amazingly original with lovely straight panels and the doors shut as they should. Paintwork is very presentable and largely original with some patina, though it is not scruffy, and can proudly be shown. The seating was covered from new until 5 years ago, so it is amazing. Woodwork, headlining, door panels etc, are extremely good and cherished. Carpeting was replaced, but new ones were tailer made with fibres closely matching the original pile, so they are almost indistinguishable to the original. As the MOT history shows, although having a low overall mileage, the car has been used quite extensively over the past few years, mainly on longer runs. Despite the scarcity of these cars, there is an excellent owners’ club with surprisingly good spares availability. Finished in a pleasing colour combination of Corinthian Green with Green Hide.
