SUMMARY
I'd always wanted one of these since I first saw Jeremy Clarkson being very complimentary about them when the model featured on Top Gear, back in the earlier Noughties. It's one of those few cars that is so much better than I imagined it to be, and as I write this I'm not even sure I want to let this one go, as I cant think of another car that does what it does, and does it so well too.
The Smart (452) Roadster is essentially a mid engined Mercedes Roadster! It's probably the most fun you can have on four wheels (well nearly!) that doesn't cost a fortune and wont get you into trouble. I think these cars are pure genius, and go to prove you don't need to have 500BHP plus to have fun. They're also very easy to park and store as they fit in spaces most modern cars just can't fit in.
This is a superb example of its type, which I bought from a lady in London, who was selling it as she was about to have her first child. When I bought it in 2023, it has all the seals replaced, so is leak free. It's also been serviced just about every year of its life too, I don't think you'll find one that has been consistently better maintained.
THE MTSV DIFFERENCE
Unlike some, I don’t just simply go out, buy any old car, give it a good clean, then advertise it for more than the purchase price, disregarding any issues the car may have in the hope the new buyer won’t notice…I just couldn’t do that. The cars I source are carefully selected and I work very hard so that when my cars leave me, I have the satisfaction of knowing they are as good as they possibly can be within the constraints I have.
