I am currently selling this vehicle on behalf of my friend who has emigrated abroad recently; it was unused for a year but garaged and started regularly – I have just undertaken some recommissioning works (£1, 368) for an MOT which include; new ball joints, top mounts, exhaust from the down pipes back (including a new back box), with two new batteries fitted.
It is a 1998 100 Series Amazon in VX Limited 4. 2 turbodiesel - Toyota launched the 100-Series Land Cruiser for 1998 as a replacement for the 80-Series model, with production for the model ending in 2007. The car is solid and drives very well – it has been very reliable for the owner and garaged throughout the time he has owned it (since October 2021).
The vehicle is showing 184, 721 miles on the MOT. One comment I would make is that the speedo reads in Kmph, with the odometer increasing at a faster rate than miles covered – therefore I believe the true milage is c. 114, 780. This is unwarranted and just an observation from myself, but I believe this to be the true mileage.
It is finished in Pearl White and sits upon its original five-spoke 16” alloy wheels shod with matching Toyo M/ T Open Country tyres – all with decent tread remaining. The engine is a 4. 2-litre 1HD-FTE turbo-diesel six-cylinder engine which develops 201bhp and 430NM of torque driving all-four wheels via automatic transmission. It has Brembo brakes and pads on all four corners, with Old Man Emu suspension.
Inside the cabin is seating for five. The interior is brown and tan leather - it is in good condition and shows little signs of age or wear; aside from the drivers seat right hand bolster, and some rubbing on the corner of the center console at the armrest. In addition, we find walnut trim, two-stage heated front seats, electric windows, manually adjustable front seats with electric lumbar adjustment for the driver, electric folding mirrors, Power Heater button, cruise control, electric aerial, rear heating/ blower control, AC, diff-lock knob and hi/ low ratio box plus cup holders front and rear.
The only non-standard modification to the car is an Alpine iLX-7020 Head Unit with DAB and Bluetooth, giving the car Apple Car Play and Android Auto - giving modern usability.
The history file includes the V5C showing five former keepers, old MOTs, with the current MOT valid until August 2026 recording an advisory note for some underside corrosion.

The paint is generally great, however there are some minor scuffs and scabs (as pictured) – with the arches being in good order.

The front passenger window is sticking, so I have not been using it, but included in the sale is new window regulator which will require fitting.
To summarise, this is a great example of a Land Cruiser 100 VX Limited. It has been totally reliable during the previous 4 years ownership and is ready to enjoy by the new owner.
N. B. - when uploading the advert it selected the car as a manual, however, it is an automatic.
