This ROW (Rest Of World) specification LHD Land Rover was built from new on a galvanised chassis for The Cape to Cape Expedition and was especially modified to cross the Bering Strait in July 2008. This special 4X4 remains the only road going vehicle to have ever made the crossing and has 2 pages dedicated to it in the Jaguar Land Rover coffee table book 'Icon'
Fitted extras and modifications include: Warn winch, external roll cage, PTO for propeller drive, hydraulic system, pump valves tank etc. Webasto engine heater, 140l heated fuel tank ARB diff-locks front & rear, compressor, dual charge electrical system, sun roof escape hatch, stall warning buzzer and satellite phone antenna.
The Land Rover is supplied with: Full amphibious kit as used on Bering Strait, outriggers, inflatable chambered pontoons, phosphor bronze propeller, bow, rudder, all fastenings, 5 x ice studded tyres, and other spares.
