Very popular car in France, the Renault 4 commonly known as 4L had a career spanning more than 30 years. The first were made in 1961 and the model quickly rose to the top of sales until 1965, succeeding the Renault Dauphine. Its success is international and remains to this day the second most produced car in the world, with more than 8 million units. Its aesthetics changed very little, giving the little city-dweller a delightfully “sixties” look.
This example is a “Savane” model, which weremanufactured between 1986 and 1992.
She has had one owner in France and then bought by one of our existing customers for use at his French second home repatriating this year and driving her back from Montepellier to the UK home.
There are a few French Battle scars but she is original/ unrestored unpainted but delightful to drive making swift progress for a small car.
