Offered for sale is this beautiful MGB GT which presents in very reasonable condition throughout.
This example is an earlier chrome bumper model presented in Tartan Red with a lovely service and maintenance history that would make a superb addition to any classic car collection or as a perfect starter classic for someone.
71k miles showing on the clock which is believed to be honest and genuine.
MOT and tax exempt.
This particular example features the robust 1800cc petrol engine, 4-speed manual gearbox and of course an adjustable choke. All operational.
Maintenance works include:
New brake callipers and shoes
Recent fuel pump
Twin carburettor clean and fettle
Oil and filter changed just before sale.
The bodywork is in great condition considering its age with just a few blemishes and has that quintessential old patina that you would expect of a small MG product from the 70’s. Never does it look untidy or neglected. Infact the interior is in superb condition. Probably thanks to careful ownership and the fact it’s been garage stored for the last 30 years.
Speaking of ownership, this example has been with the same family since the early 1990s!

The original chrome wire wheels present in good condition, featuring just minor pitting as expected. Pirelli P4 tyres feature to each corner.
The black leather interior is a beautiful complement to the exterior and is also in very good order throughout. The original carpets are immaculate.
This MGB GT is a well sorted, on the button example making This is a rather splendid thing that is great fun. Whether that be trundling through the streets of London or sauntering around the countryside.
