Description
1966 Ford Mustang Coupe – V8 Restoration Project
1966 Ford Mustang Coupe, sourced from the Napa Valley, California. Owned by the same owner since 1989 and stored for approximately 15–20 years.
Originally delivered in Silver Blue with a blue interior, later repainted black. Paintwork is very poor and requires a full strip and respray. Cracking paint, peeling, visible filler repairs and surface rust are present. The body itself is very solid and we could not find any perforative rust.
Originally a 200 ci inline-six with manual transmission, later upgraded to a 289 V8 with automatic transmission. The engine turns freely by hand. Clean oil and a fresh-looking oil filter. Equipped with Holley aluminium valve covers and electronic ignition.
Original interior in restorable condition. Odometer shows 40, 079 miles. The car stands on two steel wheels and two aftermarket alloy wheels. Fuel tank should be replaced. Missing trunk lock cylinder (mechanism included), spare wheel and tool kit.
An honest V8 Mustang project with a solid body. Ideal basis for restoration.
California title and Dutch import documents (duties paid).
Visits and inspections by appointment at Dandy Classics in the Netherlands.
