Description
The Jaguar S-Type is a saloon produced by Jaguar Cars in the United Kingdom from 1963 to 1968.
Launched on 30 September 1963, it represented a more advanced technical evolution of the Mark II, offering buyers a more luxurious alternative without the dimensions and price of the Mark X.
The S-Type was sold alongside the Mark II and the Jaguar 420 after its release in 1966.
In the late 1990s, a retro-styled Jaguar S-Type bearing the same name was also produced, inspired by the design of the original models.
The Jaguar S-Type shown here was delivered new in 1964. It was first registered in the Netherlands in 1981. A complete nut-and-bolt restoration began in late 1988 and spanned several years. This work was carried out with the utmost care, as evidenced by the numerous invoices and photographs of this restoration provided with the vehicle. This car is equipped with a powerful 3. 4-litre six-cylinder engine, paired with a four-speed manual gearbox. It also has an overdrive!
The bodywork of this Jaguar S is painted in Old English White. The interior, of course, is adorned with stunning burr walnut veneers, notably on the dashboard. The seats are upholstered in oxblood leather.
The superb chromed-wire wheels complete the exterior of this iconic British classic. What a car!
The current owner has recently had the car serviced with the utmost care, including a full overhaul featuring the replacement of numerous seals, cooling hoses, carburettors and a general mechanical overhaul.
The car drives beautifully!
If you are seeking an exceptional Jaguar that delivers incomparable driving pleasure, this S-Type is an elegant choice.
