The 1098 has exactly the same geometry as the 999 it sits higher at the rear giving a quicker steering, racer-like feel. However, the riding position is still very roomy and comfortable. Everything has been lightened, including the tortsionally stronger trellis frame, allowing a dry weight of 171kg.
