The 1955 Triumph TR5 Trophy represents the golden era of British off-road motorcycling, when these rugged parallel twins ruled reliability trials and long-distance cross country competitions. Triumph had already established its reputation for durable, competition-ready machines and the TR5 Trophy combined rugged engineering with purposeful simplicity, qualities that made the model a favorite among serious riders and enthusiasts alike.
This particular example stands out as a highly original, matching-numbers machine, retaining its factory original components throughout. Remarkably, it still wears its original first paint, original seat cover and original Dunlop rims, rare survivals that speak to careful ownership and preservation over the decades.
