At the end of the 1980s, the Prancing Horse company wanted to enter the modern era after the successful years of the 308 and 328. The answer was unveiled at the 1989 Frankfurt Motor Show: the newcomer took the lines of the F40, with a Cx of 0. 33, which was excellent at the time! It remained in the catalog until 1995, when it was replaced by the legendary F355. As confirmed by its service book (stamped from the outset), our example was delivered by Pozzi via Internationale Auto to an Alsatian. She quickly returned to the Paris region, where she would spend the rest of her life. It was in 2016 that #92133 arrived at the current owner's, having hesitated at the time with a 512 TR (the argument of a car with a sunroof having outweighed the 12-cylinder's appeal). A few months before its purchase, Pozzi had changed the odometer: as indicated on the invoice, the car has therefore 6, 447 km less than the mileage indicated, i. e. just under 52, 000 original km! Since its purchase, the current owner has maintained the car meticulously and regularly, replacing the timing gear in July 2024 (less than 500 km since). Today, the car runs very well, with a bewitching sound (modified exhaust, the original is sold with the car)! The bodywork shows no noticeable defects, and paint measurements reveal a very slight haze in places. As a simple departure from the original, a carbon-style adhesive has been applied to certain parts of the interior, which is easy to remove. With the considerable price increases for F355s, 348s (which are also rarer than their little sisters!) remain the last affordable manual-gearbox berlinettes... This example is also fortunate enough to have been fully serviced, and to be in irreproachable condition!
