1956 FORD ZEPHER ZODIAC MKI
The 1956 Ford Zepher Zodiac (MkI) is a British-built luxury variant of the Zephyr, produced until mid-1956, only 50 Ford Zodiacs are left on UK roads as of September 2025.
It features a 2262cc straight-six engine (68bhp), American-inspired two-tone styling, and, for the time, advanced unitary construction. These often feature a column-change, three-speed manual, gearbox and are known for a top speed of around 82mph.
The 1956 model year marked the end of the MkI Zephyr Zodiac range before transitioning to the MkII.
Equipped with MacPherson strut front suspension, it offered, surprisingly good driving dynamics for a 1950s family car featuring luxury extras like a cigarette lighter, clock, fog lamps, and a heater.
This smart example from June 1956 starts, runs and drives beautifully, having been subject to a good quality restoration at some point including total respray, replacement clutch, engine oil seal, front & gearbox pinion seal, together with brake adjustment.
Showing a mileage of 72638 (unwarranted) this really is a fine specimen of the marque in its attractive two-tone colours and applied 'whitewall' tyres.
A proper two-tone horn, chrome driving lights, badge bar, wing mirrors and quarter-light windows complete the classic look of this superb Ford Zephyr Zodiac, ready to drive away- estimated at just £10000-12000.
Complete with V5 and original buff logbook together with old invoices and historic paperwork.
