Description

An extremely rare Brabus 3. 6 G-Wagen from 1993. LHD, German-market in Blue Black with grey leather trim.

This short wheelbase W463 G-Wagen was very highly specified when new, featuring options such as heated electric seats, leather trim, cruise control and air conditioning that are not often found of Gs of this era. But the biggest option was the Brabus engine conversion. The Bottrop-based tuner took the 300GE’s standard 3-litre M103 engine and enlarged it to 3. 6-litre. We understand this increased the power from 188 to 245bhp and significantly increased the mid-range torque. These conversions were very expensive (on top of a very high spec G) and so rare.

This G was sold new in Germany and imported into the UK in 2000. The last owner bought the car in 2006 from the G-Wagen Centre and kept it 20 years.
The total mileage today works out at around just 98k miles, having had a replacement MPH speedo.
There are extensive service records going back 20 years showing it has been very well looked after. Highlights include a new head gasket in 2018 and in 2024 nearly £14, 000 was spent with ourselves going through the car and making sure it was mechanically and structurally good. This included all new A/ T tyres, a new bespoke stainless exhaust, fitting a new panel under the windscreen, new swivel seals, new brakes and extensive wiring work.

This G was evidently rust-proofed when fairly new in Germany and this has paid dividends as the underside is very solid and original. Notably the rear damper mounts on the chassis are in excellent condition.
A good deal of the paintwork appears to be original and, as the photos show, presents really well, but up close there are a some minor blemishes commensurate with its age.
The interior is generally very good. The leather, door cards, dash and headliner are all in good original condition and the load bay has not been abused as so many have.
Thanks to all the recent work it does drive very well indeed. It doesn’t have the rattles these G-Wagens often have and it feels very planted on the road – perhaps Brabus tweaked the suspension too? The engine is noticeably more lively than the stock 300. All in all, it’s very enjoyable to drive.

There’s potential for the next owner to bring this to the next level with some minor cosmetics/ detailing and attending to a couple of items like the non-functional air conditioning and cruise control if required.

Private plate included in the sale, HPI clear.

In summary, a great-looking, Brabus-powered G-Wagen straight from long-term ownership and benefitting from significant recent expenditure. A rare and desirable Mercedes for certain that offers great potential.
