A true modern classic and very collectable, especially in this condition. This 968 underwent a restoration by Porsche Centre Cardiff in 2016 using genuine Porsche parts with the paintwork completed by a Porsche Approved Bodyshop to be entered in the '40 years at the front' Porsche Classic Restoration Concours Competition. This car was chosen for its excellent condition, desirable colour, low mileage, low ownership, strong specification, and full Porsche service history. The 18 Entrants to the competition were displayed by Porsche GB at 'Silverstone Classic', 'Classics at the Castle' & the 'NEC Classic Motorshow' they were also transported to Germany for the 'Oldtimer GP Nurburgring' where they featured on the Porsche stand. Finished in Speed Yellow with black Club Sport decals, the car presents superbly. The interior is immaculate and remains original throughout, including the lightweight bucket seats with colour-coded shells. The seats are factory original and unrestored; the lightweight fabric is in very good order and has not been replaced. Factory Specification A genuine UK-market (C16) ‘Lightweight’ Porsche 968 Club Sport, voted Best Handling Car in 1993. While many 968 CS examples were delivered with varying levels of trim, the true Lightweight cars are now the rarest, and increasingly the most desirable examples. This car was first registered in February 1994 and specified with the important factory installed 968 CS Package which included M030 sport chassis, combined with M220 Limited Slip differential. The M030 package comprises stiffer springs and dampers (adjustable Koni), stiffer anti roll bars 30mm hollow fixed at the front (standard 26. 8mm) and 19mm 3 position adjustable at the rear from the 16mm standard. The brakes are more powerful with cross drilled 304mm discs at the front with larger calipers and hubs, the rear discs crossed drilled and measure 299mm.
