Available trims included the standard Custom, the mid-range Ranger, and the high-end Ranger XLT. Standard engines were often the 360 or 390 cubic-inch 'FE' V8s. A heavy-duty 460 V8 was also available for maximum towing capacity. Usually paired with a 4-speed manual or a 3-speed automatic transmission.
