Description
Beautiful 1962 Hillman Minx - Remarkable Condition Throughout - Classic Insurance – 61200 miles - MOT & Tax Exempt.
She is in great condition, drives extremely well and has clearly been very well looked after throughout its life. I suggest at this price range it’s as good as you’ll find.
The exterior paintwork is in great condition, and even minor imperfections are hard to spot without a close inspection.
The interior is also in excellent condition and the engine bay, boot, and underside are equally impressive.
Comfortably seats 4 adults, with a large boot offering plenty of space for picnic tables, chairs, and everything needed for a day out, while also being easily capable of cruising at 50mph.
The car is in Northern Ireland and has a standard UK V5 registration; it’s usable anywhere in the UK without re-registration or import duties.
Nice history file with invoices and MOT certificates, the odometre reads 61, 800 miles which we believe to be correct but cannot 100% guarantee.
Please note she is fast approaching her 64th birthday and should not be compared to your modern 2, 3 or even 10 year old daily driver. That said, she is in remarkably good condition, drives very well and I can see nothing that routine servicing and maintenance would not take care of.
The Hillman Minx was a mid-sized family car produced by the British Rootes Group from 1931 to 1970. These post war models were part of the "Audax" series, designed with styling input from the U. S. firm Raymond Loewy Associates, giving the car a distinctly modern and transatlantic look for its time.
The 1962 Minx featured several updates over earlier models, including improved suspension, updated trim, and more efficient engines. The car offered good practicality with a spacious cabin, a roomy boot, and durable materials.
Well-regarded for its dependable engineering and elegant styling, the Hillman Minx was a common sight on British roads throughout the 1950s and '60s.
