We are offering for sale a magnificent VW Beetle 1302 in its superb original Marina Blue colour. An exceptionally authentic and appealing car, with a remarkable history and only 3 owners since it was first registered.
This Beetle is in remarkable condition and has recently benefited from a high-quality new paint job. What makes this car truly special, however, is its interior, entirely original and superbly preserved. Everything exudes authenticity: the original Blaupunkt radio, the original carpets, the headlining and the interior trim are still the original equipment and are in exceptional condition.
The odometer currently reads 14, 438 km. Given the condition of the interior, seats and the car as a whole, we believe this superb survivor has travelled around 114, 438 km. Even the original 44 hp engine is still present — exactly as it left the factory.
Delivered new in 1971 to Christel Euler. A few years later, it was registered in the name of her husband, Karl Euler. The couple lived in Aarbergen-Michelbach, a small village near Frankfurt with only around 2, 200 inhabitants.
Karl and Christel Euler were very involved in their community and played a significant role at the Walter-Großer-Haus as well as in the local Lebenshilfe group, an organisation dedicated to supporting people with mental disabilities. In the late 1960s and the 1970s they were among the founders of the local Lebenshilfe group, driven by the desire to improve living conditions and support for residents of the Aarbergen region.
The car was taken off the road in 2017 and registered in April 2018 in the name of its third owner, resident in Ludwigshafen. This Beetle has thus known only 3 owners in 55 years — the first two even lived under the same roof. A rare provenance and particularly interesting.
Everything shows this Beetle has never led a hard life and has covered very few miles per year. It is a genuine time capsule, where every element has aged in harmony. This level of authenticity is impossible to recreate — a Beetle is original only once.
