This is a matching numbers car still retaining its original factory engine.
The Mk3 is often regarded as the best model as it has creature comforts like wind up windows and a folding hood frame rather than the clip on windows and pack away hoods which the early cars came with and also boasts the larger 1275 A series engine.
This wonderful car was fully restored in 2003 by marque specialists MG Mecca after the owner presented them with a picture of a Primrose Yellow MG Midget which he owned 3 decades earlier and wanted to create exactly what he had owned in earlier life.
The finished result is a wonderful honest Midget which has covered just 3000 miles since restoration.
The Primrose Yellow paintwork is in exceptional condition with an excellent deep even shine, the interior is a lovely place to be with its original low back seats and correct early original steering wheel.
The brightwork is in perfect order as is the black vinyl hood and full tonneau cover.
Under the bonnet presents very nicely as does the carpeted boot area.
The underside of the car is truly outstanding and solid.
Mechanically the Midget is excellent with excellent oil pressure and a lovely smooth gearbox.
Amongst the paperwork are old mots dating back to 1976, service and parts bills, Heritage certificate confirming original numbers which match the vin plate and engine, a disc containing restoration photos.
